Camper and Boat Storage

Planning a long holiday weekend is something that we all look forward to. For some of us that involves boating and/or camping. The Department of Development Services wants to remind residents that the township zoning resolution allows for the storage of boats and campers at a residence provided that they are in a garage, accessory building or the rear yard. Parking or storing elsewhere on the property is prohibited.
Temporary storage of recreational vehicles in the driveway may be permitted by calling the Department of Development Services in advance. Permission may then be granted for a set number of days both before and after use to allow time for loading, unloading and cleaning the vehicle. We must emphasize that permission for temporary storage is a privilege that is extended to the residents on a case-by-case basis throughout the season which can be denied if abused.
