Rose grew up on the west side of town and attended the then College of Mount St. Joseph where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources. She is married, has two children and five grandchildren.

Rose and her husband own two LaRosa's restaurants. Her past employers include:
