1. Who do I call for a burnt out street light?

You can go to Duke-Energy.com to report a street light repair or call the Duke Energy Electrical Division at 800-543-5599.  

2. Who is responsible for the sidewalk in front of my house?

While that property is dedicated for public use as right-of-way, the homeowner is responsible for the sidewalk and grass area in between the sidewalk and the street.

3. Does the Township provide garbage collection?

No, two private companies provide garbage collection in Delhi Township and they may be contacted at:

• Rumpke: 513-851-0122

4. Which streets are not maintained by the Delhi Township Public Works Department?

All County roads, private drives and undedicated streets. Undedicated streets are the responsibility of the subdivision’s developer. View the Road Designations page for a complete listing of all streets in Delhi Township and who maintains them.

5. Who is responsible for water drainage problems in Delhi Township?

This depends on the type of lines:

• For sanitary or combination sewer lines, call the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) at 513-352-4900
• For stormwater and storm sewer lines on Township roads call Delhi Township at 513-922-8609
• For stormwater and storm sewer lines on county roads call the Hamilton County Engineer’s Office at 513-946-4969
• For all other stormwater and storm line problems, call the Hamilton County Public Works Office at 513-946-4750

In right-of-way only, on Township roads, contact Delhi Township Public Works at 513-922-8609. For Hamilton County roads, call 513-946-4969.

7. Who do I call if a traffic light is out?

Contact the Hamilton County Engineer by calling 513-761-7400.

8. How do I get a roadway sign placed on my Township maintained street?

All signs in the Township are placed in accordance with Ohio Law. You may request a sign by sending a letter to:

The request will be researched for legal conformity and will be placed, if approved.

9. Does the Township offer leaf pickup?

No, yard waste questions should be directed to the Hamilton County Solid Waste District at 513-946-7879.

10. Do I need a permit for work performed in the Township road right-of-way (for example, sidewalk and driveway apron replacement)?

Yes, you can get a permit at the Delhi Township Public Works Department located at 665 Neeb Road in Cincinnati, OH between the hours of 7 am and 3:30 pm. The cost is $20 (cash or check) and an inspection is required. Permit forms are available on the Public Works page.

11. Who is responsible for repairs to the curb?

Delhi Township Public Works Department will patch a needed curb on any Township streets.

12. What are the colored markings on the street for?

The markings represent underground utilities and proposed excavation according to the Utility Location and Coordination Council Uniform Color Code.

13. Who maintains the creek behind my house?

Most creeks that flow in the Township are privately owned and the homeowner’s responsibility to keep clean of debris.

14. Who do I call for potholes on my street?

For Township roads, call Delhi Township Public Works at 513-922-8609. For county roads, contact Hamilton County Western Division at 513-946-4969.

15. Who do I call for litter problems in my Delhi Township neighborhood?

Contact Dan Ryan by email or phone at 513-922-8609. Dan will contact the Hamilton County Juvenile Work Detail to get the area cleaned within a couple of days. This is an ongoing program, so keep the requests coming! This program deals with litter only, nothing heavy.

16. Where can I take my recyclable items?
